OUR HISTORY
1971
Creation of SARL Gonzales Frères by founder André Gonzales.
First building, with a floor area of 200 m2.
1981
Expansion of the company at a 4000 m2 site in Estrablin (Isère, France), with the first investments in numerically controlled milling and turning machines.
1995
Incorporation of highly technical welding capabilities, with the acquisition of a subsidiary from Pomagalski. Creation of Gonzales CMA (Construction Mécanique d’Allonzier).
2001
The two subsidiaries are brought together with the creation of the Gonzales Group holding company.
2003
Creation of the Group’s Romanian subsidiary at a greenfield site. Gonzales Mecanica de Precizie was founded with a view to establishing machining and industrial equipment integration capabilities in Eastern Europe.
2006
SEVMHY, a company located in Toussieu (Rhône, France) and possessing great expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and automation processes, is bought out by and integrated into the Gonzales Group.
2011
Creation of EMP5 in Saint-Étienne (Loire, France). The Gonzales Group now possesses premises offering a lift height of 12-24 metres and a lifting capacity of 30 tonnes.
2013
Management of the Group passed on to the second generation. It remains a family-owned business. Damien Gonzales becomes Chairman of the Group.
2014
Acquisition of ENERGOM, a second Romanian subsidiary. The Group’s capabilities in Romania are reinforced with the incorporation of panel building and industrial sheet metal activities, and expertise in electrical integration and automation.
2018
Creation of Gonzales Vietnam. Launch of sourcing activities in Vietnam in 2015, followed by the purchase of a building and deployment of production and industrial equipment integration capabilities in 2018.
